Most bigger hotels have international long distance access from the phones in each room, but rates are generally quite high. Your other options are to bring an international phone card with you from home or try to negotiate buying one in China. If you are using a Chinese cell phone，you can add an international long distance feature for a few pennies and per minute rates are extraordinarily low. Both Chinese mobile phone service providers have an English customer service line you can call to request this service. No matter how you do it, make sure you know the country code for where you want to call. China‘s country code is 86.

Go to a convenience store and ask for an IP card (Chinese = IP ka). Note well that the price on the card is not the price you should pay. A card with a value of RMB100 usually sells for RMB30-40 and will buy you about 15 minutes talk time (depending on where you‘re calling, of course). Your hotel-presuming you‘re staying in one-might block the usage of the card (so you have to use their IDD service), but you can use it at a pay phone. 

If the hotel you‘re staying in has internet access,then better use Skype to call internationally.but mostly you need to download the Skype software first.
