I am tearing my hair out trying to find some cheap decent accommodation for our trip to Shenzhen.Our main goal is the Lowu shopping centre but we dont mind a taxi ride from the hotel to Lowu as long as its not too far.I have no idea of the districts near Lowu so even that would help. We are 7 people in total. Ideally we would like a couple of apartments for the 3 nights but otherwise 4 rooms maybe. I have even looked up hostels and some of them sound quite good but as I dont know where they are, I‘m stuck and just dont seem to be getting ahead. Can anyone tell me the areas nearby to Lowu an if anyone can suggest any cheap hotels that would be great.

Have you tried the hotel reviews here on TA? Look at something like the MetroPark. You should be able to get a map for each of the hotels. LuoHu is the suburb nearest the border with HKG and the end of the metro line. 2 stops up the line at LaoJie is the shopping district of Dongmen. The metro is fast, safe, clean & cheap. (50 cents NZ will take you several stops).
